I've heard of Nuromancer certainly, but must confirm I haven't read it as of yet, I have some gaping holes in my back catalog of quality fiction, it would help if Terry Pratchett would slow down so I could read more non-discworld stuff! I'll keep an eye out for Pattern Recognition too, either in the paperback or on my ebook shop.
Cheers for the pointers.

This is pretty random but I just stumbled across this blog and I wondered if you are the same Alex Watson I knew at university? If so, this is Mairi and I am living in Japan now. I have been here for almost two years now. How are you? If this is not the same Alex Watson, then sorry and nice blog! :-) Ja, mata ne!

If you've never read a single one, you definitely should! Neuromancer is the most famous one, but his most recent, Pattern Recognition (2005?) is out in paperback and is great - if not as out-n-out scifi as the earlier books.
