Hello. My name is Alex Watson and this has been my personal blog for a very long time.
I work in consumer internet Product Development, currently within Spotify’s Core Experience group. My teams focus on Exploration, focussing on areas such as the Home, Search, Library, Playlists and the Profile. Before that, I was the Head of Product at BBC News for five and a half years, from 2016 – 2021. For a while I worked at The Telegraph, and before that, I built an app and mobile development team at Dennis Publishing.
What this blog is actually about is a source of mystery to both myself and its several readers. Way back when I used to look at the analytics and was on my SEO game, The Wired Jester was one of the web’s top resources for fighting off ninjas and you could also get here by Googling ‘wolf pillows.’ This site is not often updated, but as we all do, I do what I can.
